Hoosier Fire Equipment, Inc. is a family-owned and operated business, wholly owned, headquartered, and truly invested in Indiana.  Founded in 1957 by V.F. “Bud” and Miriam Johnson, as American LaFrance of Indiana, the company incorporated as Hoosier Fire Equipment, Inc.  Today, the company is still owned and managed by members of the founding family, Nick, Peggy, Cindy and Tim Swartz.

What once was started then, has grown to what it has become today.  Hoosier employs more than 35 dedicated employees. This includes office staff, service personnel and sales professionals. 

The main office is located in Valparaiso, Indiana.  The site offers over 17,000 sq. feet allotted to administration, sales, service and warehouse space.

The Mid-State office has a new location in central Indiana.  This site offers a 15,000 sq ft. facility allotted to sales, service and warehouse space.
